Aplikasi browser dapat diunduh secara gratis. Dan saya pribadi belum pernah mendengar ada aplikasi browser yang berbayar. Dan dari tahun ke tahun selalu terjadi perang dan persaingan antar browser, yang tersengit adalah antara Mozilla Firefox dan Internet Explorer. Akan tetapi di tahun 2014 ini tidak hanya kedua aplikasi browser tersebut yang bersaing secara sengit, ada beberapa browser yang bisa dikatakan masih baru namun telah menunjukkan eksistensinya di dunia internet. Berikut ini merupakan 5 Browser terbaik tahun 2014 i.

1. Google Chrome Google telah mengembangkan dan telah membuat kode chrome dari kode sumber Chromium yang bersifat open source. Google Chrome sangat sederhana, sangat bersih, sangat mudah digunakan dan juga elegan. Apalagi Chrome terintegrasi dengan semua layanan Google seperti Gmail, Drive, Google Maps, dll. Google Chrome menggunakan versi terbaru dari perangkat lunak dan teknologi internet untuk menghasilkan kecepatan browsing web tercepat bagi para penggunanya. Akan tetapi kecepatan itu telah membuat Chrome terlalu banyak memberatkan kinerja PC. Anda dapat men-download secara gratis dan melakukan update secara otomatis setiap kali ada versi yang lebih baru. Terdapat toko chrome (chrome Store), di mana Anda dapat menemukan ribuan aplikasi dan ekstensi yang siap pakai untuk meningkatkan fungsionalitas dari Google Chrome. Dalam satu kata, tidak ada kompetitor untuk browser ini.


2. Mozilla Firefox Mozilla Firefox merupakan browser yang dapat dibilang sangat baik. Browser yang satu ini selalu mengikuti perkembangan aplikasi web. Apalagi dengan Tersedianya ribuan plugin dan addon membuat Firefox menjadi salah satu browser yang dapat diandalkan untuk kegiatan browsing anda.










 3. Internet Explorer Internet Explorer adalah browser bawaan dari sistem operasi windows. Meskipun browser ini sangat populer, namun ada kekurangan yaitu sisi keamanan yang masih menjadi masalah dari browser ini. Dukungan terhadap teknologi web juga belum begitu bagus. Bisa dibilang Internet Eksplorer selalu terlambat dalam melakukan pembaruan.


 4. Opera Browser Opera menjadi pilihan berikutnya. Kinerjanya cukup baik, akan tetapi untuk memuat sebuah halaman web, opera memang lebih lambat jika dibandaingkan dengan google chrome atau mozilla firefox. bahkan kepopuleran Opera untuk versi PC kalah jauh bila dibandingkan untuk versi opera mobile sendiri.








5. Safari Safari merupakan browser default pada produk apple. Akan tetapi Safari juga telah tersedia untuk versi windows. Dengan tampilan ala mac OS, safari menjadi salah satu browser yang elegan.
